    Pros

It's a hard job, but extremely rewarding. The supervisors and support team are amazing.

  3. "Great people but no stability"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Behavior Technician

    I worked at Children's Learning Connection part-time

    Pros

Great place to work as far as the families and the support staff

    Cons

Families (clients) get more communication then the employee You often feel out of the loop even about your own schedule Schedule can get very inconsistent (clients get sick, vacation, or you get sick sometimes from the clients ) They offer sub work when you don’t have a client for the day but it doesn’t guarantee that you will get paid. My clients called out sick or something else at least every other week.... You also end up spending your own money on toys In addition you spend your own time prepping for the days. It’s a good stepping stone job but done expect to pay your bills

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Children's Learning Connection full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Super Supportive Environment, great training, clients are challenging and insipiring.

    Cons

Cancellation by parents, hours worked are difficult to control due to client and administration of the clinic. Pay is standard for the para professional but you can NOT live on the wage.

    Advice to Management

Reward staff that achieve an RBT with a pay bump. Provide more support for competencies of the BT to be actually verified. Supervisor of POF and kiddo seem overwhelmed.

I have been working at Children's Learning Connection full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Interdisciplinary approach with SLP, OT, and PT Bi-weekly clinical staff meetings Education reimbursement Monthly bonus incentives Supportive work environment Opportunities to participate in studies

    Cons

Large caseloads Lack of referencing of current studies No conference attendance stipends

    Advice to Management

BCBAs and Clinical Supervisors are discussing large case loads contributing to burn out. Not everyone is motivated to access their monthly bonuses, but they will because case load is high and need to serve 10% monthly supervision.

I worked at Children's Learning Connection full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Currently, they are struggling to keep the turnover rate low among their employees. Many full-timers are only lasting a few years with them. However, they are taking steps to make more career opportunities for part-timers and leadership positions. The atmosphere is very positive and uplifting! The community in each clinic setting is supportive and

    Cons

Poor employee investment. But they are willing to improve. Also, while employed I experienced some overloaded work and heard about some unethical situations going on, i.e. fraudulent billing with insurances.

I have been working at Children's Learning Connection part-time

    Pros

    - staff are willing to help, they take care of you well if you speak up. - easy to get a lot of hours. - good training. - get to interact with experienced staff and there will be a lot of opportunities to observe.

    Cons

    - Overwhelming at first. - Somewhat poor communications, so you'd have to be active about communicating your needs. - not all employees will get certified. - sometimes you get hard cases, but the pay is the same. - most of the time, you'll be working alone

    Advice to Management

Should give the opportunity to all BT's to be certified.
