Regret seeped in very shortly after joining

Pros

- Recent introduction of a 2% 401k match (2-year vesting period) shows a minor improvement over the previous 0%. - Some dedicated individuals genuinely strive to prioritize students' interests. - Opportunity to learn the importance of ethical behavior through the founders' lack thereof.

Cons

- Founders lacking ethics and integrity created a toxic work environment. - Limited business sense and standardization resulted in chaos and confusion. - Absence of accountability and innovation stifled growth and progress. - Poor financial management hindered the company's potential to invest in valuable tools. - Meager 10 days vacation and 5 days sick leave, both accrued, left employees with minimal time off. - New ownership from Colorado Technical University (Perdoceo) did not bring any positive changes. - Dominance of egos and an unhealthy culture hindered collaboration and improvement. - Lack of transparency and communication was evident during layoffs, where individuals suddenly 'disappeared' without any acknowledgment from leadership. - Overall experience left employees regretting their decision to work there.

Pros

- Gave me a laundry list of boundaries that I will never allow to be crossed again.

Cons

- They will cause you to burnout. Multiple employees experienced severe mental health crises due to this company. In response, leadership would retaliate by forcing them out. - The most disorganized place I have ever worked. In startup days, that’s understandable. But they are way too far down the road to still allow for the lack of systems and processes that are in place. - Hands down the WORST leadership team I have ever seen. The CEO and his buddies have no business being in charge of anything, let alone an entire company. He was tolerable when he had an assistant who the rest of the company really liked, but the second she was gone he became a miserable human being. - Shady, shady business practices. Dishonesty galore. Mysterious promotions for friends. Unlawful terminations at the drop of a hat. - Wildly inappropriate behavior from leadership was rampant. As someone who was previously in the inner management circle, the stories I could tell would make you run the other direction faster than Usain Bolt. ESPECIALLY the CEO. - Forget work/life balance. Even when was PTO was unlimited (it’s not any longer), and you would get your time off approved, they would tell you that you still had to join meetings, take calls, jump when the CEO said jump.

Pros

The people. Somehow they have been able to hire good people. Albeit, young, inexperienced, but they're nice and work hard.

Cons

Everything. The inept, inexperienced leadership team has no idea what they are doing. Their actions contradict their values (which are posted all over the walls), No equity. Low PTO. Nearly all of the instructors are former students, very few are experienced professionals from industry. Zero work life balance.
