I worked at Coleman full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Coleman has a bunch of great people working there many have spent decades there. Easy to work with, always willing to help and make you feel like you are part of a family. They also made me feel like my family was important as well.

    Cons

Coleman is and has been owned by other companies for quite some time. The current owner Newell Brands bought in for the brands but is not overly concerned about the people behind those brands.

    Advice to Management

The people are what make the business. Do your best to keep the tight-knit feeling that Coleman had instead of being assimilated into the vast disconnected state that is Newell Brands.

I worked at Coleman full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The products and the long held legacy brand.

    Cons

Too much of a boys club, not much opportunity for growth.

    Advice to Management

Recognize and reward your natural leaders and those that carry poise, hard work and experience through there position. Especially for the ones that actually request the recognition and respect and are looking to move up into a bigger leadership role.

    Pros

Laid back place as long as you do your job. Good selection of benefits.

    Cons

Benefits cost is high. Management and CEO's change every other year and take the company direction back and forth. Way behind when it comes to tech.
