I worked at Commodore Builders full-time

    Pros

    - A lot of Intelligent Industry professionals
    - Good Work/Life Balance
    - Nice office space
    - Free breakfast in the kitchen
    - Fair Pay

    Cons

    - Poor business plan, will bid on virtually any plan without looking into risk management
    - To much focus on company culture, not enough focus on company growth
    - All hiring is decided by a "Vice President of Organizational Development", with no industry experience, resulting in a lot of very poor hires.
    - Poor senior level management.

    Advice to Management

Be more selective with your job choices. Bidding on everything with a price tag only will end in continued failure.

    Pros

Love working here! Great culture and positive environment! Senior management takes care of their employees, great benefits and career growth opportunities. Worked here for over four years and love it!

    Cons

Relocating to our new location in Waltham was a challenge, but the new building offers many benefits, such as a cafeteria, access to a gym and a beautiful roof deck.

As Commodore grows, they add/update their technologies and processes. Getting everyone to adjust to changes is challenging.

    Pros

Great people, fun events, great culture, the office building, access to gym, easy commute, competitive salary.

    Cons

Their location moved. I wasn't there after their location moved, but I have heard from employees that are still there that Waltham is not a good commute, and the building is very sterile. It's the old IBM building in Waltham.

    Advice to Management

Don't grow too fast for what is healthy for the company.

The environment is all about personal and professional development.

    Cons

Over the last two years, we've had some pains associated with fast gorowth.

Remember where you came from. Employees can't understand why CB does so much work with no profit, where is the $ going? Higher ups? Poor business decisions?
