    Pros

    They have amazing benefits! The employee is 100% covered by the CCOK.

    Cons

    Not sure how they get away with a lot of things they do. Layoffs, turnover, pay, and very rude/disrespectful HR.

    I have been working at CommunityCare full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    401K match. New CEO is very friendly & really listens to the employees & wants to improve the company in many ways. Moving to new updated modernized building which many employees are excited about.

    Cons

    Underpaid. Long time to accrue PTO. Employees with attitudes & nothing is done to fix it. Reported to supervisor numerous times but employee attitude has not changed. Short staffed during open enrollment that happens yearly but management doesn’t see the need to hire people so morale dies!

    Advice to Management

    Former supervisor doesn’t understand her job & says she will fight for her team but does not. She passes the buck. Manager of department likes to intimidate. And the wages are good if it was 20 years ago. If wages aren’t comparable a lot of employees will leave for the competition.

    I worked at CommunityCare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    401k is the only pro to list here. 8 percent match but you can't contribute for the first year and it takes 5 years to fully vest.

    Cons

    The building is so horrible. It feels like prison. Everything is micromanaged.... even the way you park in the parking garage is monitored. CEO is an embarrassment and does his best to embarrass employees at every chance. Technology is about 20 years behind. Pay is horrible. This is really the "trailer park" of health plans. CFO does nothing to add value to the company. Plays on her phone all day is all I ever see.

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue and bring the company into this millennium. You have plenty of cash on hand to improve things. The BOD (St Francis and St John execs) need to realize this. Eventually someone is going to come in and bust up your monopoly..... like the DOJ....
