Pros

Very friendly students and instructors.

Cons

You have to be able to read the owner's mind. You will feel ostracized and lost constantly. Very snooty, uppity, and rude staff. They will let you drown if your sinking. Subtle unfriendliness and snarkiness from staff. They can be very condescending. Cold-hearted owner, but nice to students because he wants the WIOA/TAA money. Unapproachable stuck up people.

Pros

nice newer building, convenient location

Cons

This company is like a tiny dictatorship. The staff don't talk to each other and silence reigns, which is usually a sign of poor staff relationships, similar to a large corporation. At first, I had a series of friendly interviews with this place, was hired, spent several weeks training there, and then when I went to the management to politely voice a personal concern, they fired me on the spot within five minutes, throwing away all the training both I and they had just invested. They were that threatened by me(I'm a very meek person, by the way). And I've never been fired before in my life. There are no employee rights here. It's their way or get out. If you want that kind of rigid management, you can go work for a giant corporation and get the same effect. If you want to contribute ideas and have your voice heard, you should look elsewhere.

Computer Training Source Response

Hello, I am the owner of Computer Training Source and I would like to apologize for your negative experience at our company (if you have reviewed the correct company). I certainly would never fire an employee for politely voicing a personal concern, so I'm wondering if you are reviewing the correct organization. We have some employees who have been with us for over 15 years. However if you did work for us I'm sorry it did not work out and I wish you the best in the future. Sincerely, Patrick McNichols

Pros

Can work mostly remotely during the pandemic, pay would be good if the job was just what's in the job description.

Cons

Owner will constantly push you go beyond/against what you agreed to. There will be overtime every single week, you will be asked to accept "extra time off" in lieu of paid OT (even if it's in your contract). Insist on being paid you'll never see the "time off" PTO expires/resets Jan 1 of each year, make sure you use it. You'll be told (not asked) to cold call people on LinkedIn regardless of your position. You'll have to go into the office at least once a week even during the pandemic just because. You'll be back in the office full time as soon as the numbers go back down. Owner will overpromise to students and then it's your job to figure out how to make it work. Students are often rude, you have no recourse. There is no loyalty from the owner, don't expect any. This job was great because of the team, but most of the team quit due to the owner's behavior. I cannot speak for the current team.
