I have been working at Condeco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great environment in NY Office, good incentives and amazing support from co workers. A great thing is that the product is so well developed that it makes life easier when solving new clients’ issues/needs. Great location as well, I honestly love my job!

    Cons

I started working for Condeco in 2019 and have no cons thus far.

I worked at Condeco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Opportunity to work for a Global organization with high profile clients. Company invests in innovation on an annual basis to further develop and improve on its technology.

    Cons

Disorganized Archaic internal applications Company is over promising and under delivering to clients as well as employees Poor communication internally Poor employee training Low morale Leadership is negative and catty

    Advice to Management

Hire separate HR reps for each location. Stop placing all the emphasis and focus on the UK office. Invest not just in the technology to sell clients but also in the systems and applications the employees use internally. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

I worked at Condeco full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Office Culture (The only reason why this isn't a one star review): -Your office-mates in New York are all decent, good people who you will have fun with. -Local Management is relaxed, reasonable, and realistic. You can enjoy a good work/life balance as long as you get work done. -Great location, heart of midtown that is easily accessible from all boroughs and many great restaurant options. -Executive... Management is clueless and indifferent, so you can get away with a lot as long as they're not visiting. -Talented and skilled people will find that the work is very easy. Skills: -Product has lots of issues, so you will have lots of opportunity to hone-in your customer facing skills, since they are usually very angry. -Lots of opportunity for travel to interesting places.

    Cons

Absolutely NO respect for employees: -Very low compensation and benefits. Salary is lower than industry standard, insurance options are bottom of the barrel, and there is no 401k match. -Sudden and frequent reduction in holidays and travel reimbursements. Higher-ups will cut every corner possible to save a penny. Ridiculous and disrespectful. -Mass lay-offs occur frequently and without warning. Entire... knowledge bases are lost and the workloads of many are dumped onto the few remaining people. After realizing that they've made an enormous mistake, management will hire replacements, but somehow manage to hire generationally-untalented personnel that should not have been given a chance. -Executives are not interested in genuinely listening to feedback or criticism from employees. As a result, there is rarely any improvements to your predicaments. The problems you have on your first day will exist on your final day. -Don't even think about asking for a raise, find it at a different company. Subpar Product -Most of the time is spent troubleshooting and documenting bugs, then coming up with work-arounds to create some semblance of a working product. -Products are released to market prematurely and have significant number of bugs as a result. -Expectations are unrealistically set by the sales teams, so customers are left anticipating a solution that can't be delivered. -Even if customer expectations are reasonable, the product just doesn't work that well, as it is very slow and inconvenient. As an employee, this is not a product you can believe in and you have no desire to put in any effort. -Not an end-user friendly product. Customer-side managers or executives often purchase the product without consulting their end users. End-users then find out that they hate the product and don't want it once it is rolled out. -Industry just needs one competent competitor to drive Condeco out of business. Mundane, Meaningless work: -Meeting Room Scheduling. This product offering is a solution to a problem that shouldn't really exist. Meetings are the single biggest waste of time in the modern day work place, and your job is to help facilitate them. You will not find any fulfillment or purpose here. You contribute nothing meaningful to the world. -The product itself is poorly conceived and executed. Most of your day is spent getting yelled at by (rightfully) angry clients. And if they're not angry, they're technologically illiterate so that's just as bad. -Any interesting tech work is being outsourced to India. The consultant role is now a glorified Customer IT support role whose main responsibility is to travel to client sites and manually flash hundreds of faulty devices. Aside from the toll it takes on your sanity, it is also physically unpleasant, as you have to crouch under desks and dig through a bunch of wiring. The devices are designed in such a way that they need to be opened to update and in order to open them you rely heavily on your fingernails, so they take a beating. Baffling Executive Leadership: -To put it politely, the executive team are a bunch of used-car salesmen who are lucky that gullible customers think that British accents translate into credibility. -The company benefits from being in an uncrowded industry, therefore it can stumble its way into revenue and survive despite its repeated bad decisions. -Despite being a software company, a lot of people in the C-level are barely computer-literate. -Executive leadership are bean-counters that ignore big picture or any long-term implications. Decision making for them is an immediate math problem and it seems like they disregard all context or future consideration. -Ultimately, the whole work burden falls entirely on few technical/client facing roles, who quickly become overworked and quit. -Endless cycle of mass-layoffs, reorganization, hiring under-qualified people, all the while bleeding the actual contributors who are sick of this process. Bull in China shop approach to decision making.

    Advice to Management

Quit the penny-pinching and stop being shortsighted. Stop treating your employees as expendable assets, they're the ones propping up the company while the executives are patting theirselves on the back because they lucked into a profitable situation. Invest in proper QA procedures so that you're no longer deploying faulty and broken products to customers,

I worked at Condeco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There were many, now only pros is that you still have a job if you do

    Cons

The list is so long that its not even worth explaining everything, the worst con is that no one has a listening ear at this org. If you are still fortunate enough to be employed by Condeco then either you earn below national average, or know how to play dirty politics. Constant lies to customers even after signed agreements - talk about 24x7 support they charge annually to customers, while offer only 9-5pm (India... hours) support Lies in RFPs, say yes to everything while people filling the RFPs do not even know answer to 95% questions Customer data is accessed by everyone at support, GDPR restrictions are a joke at this company Anyone can get hold of customer's PII data - all the security certifications in place are joke forget about employees, they do not even care about customers - issues stay opened and unresolved for years and then finally closed saying that its by design

    Advice to Management

Shut down all US offices, get 3-4 good Sales reps, ask them to work from home and let the India run the show... the only company that promote work from home / remote working culture to other companies does not have any remote working culture of its own

I worked at Condeco full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

As many have said, they lure you with Money which for some is a pro and becomes biggest reason to regret in your career when you want to move out but can’t find a suitable job. Good place for starters, as they teach you dirty politics right at the start of the career

    Cons

People working here know everything but as an enlightenment for those who are risking their careers to join No career growth & recognition – you will continue to do what you started with, no matter how many years you have spent no one is bothered No trainings - you must struggle to learn new technologies, unless your work demands forget about learning new things to enhance your career ... Working in Silos – C-suite of the organisation loves maintaining secrecy about future and ensures you are always in a dilemma. Everyone knows Condeco would be up for SALE very soon so that investors and C-suite can plan their retirements or find a new organisation to spoil people’s career Job Insecurity – employees are always living with this fear and almost everyone would agree in the organisation that their jobs are not safe due to so many sackings due to ego clashes with Anarchist C-suite and other top managers Say ‘yes’ to everything or you are fired culture – your views are not required Irrational organizational changes – Again this happens to satisfy and feed egos of undeserving people sitting at top management, who have nothing to do with values, morals, corporate culture or customer delight Good product but crappy development and testing – clients are suffering, as company likes to use all the latest methodology like scrum & agile but don’t have right people to execute and making a mockery of customers sentiments due to which they move to competitors This is a wanna be corporate without corporate policies, values and neutral governance

    Advice to Management

Learn management which says ‘Stop thinking about yourself and work for & with your employees, who in return would work harder for your customers’ Don’t make HR to force people to write positive reviews about Condeco on social media, make it a better place to earn it

    Pros

    - Great environment to work in; people are friendly and helpful - Clients are some of the best in their industry; truly a horizontal market - Growth opportunities abound - personal, client, and company level initiatives - Very collaborative atmosphere; internally and with clients - Excellent pay and benefits

    Cons

Things that need to be addressed or are being addressed: - Behind the curve of resources vs growth - Work/Life Balance skewed (mainly due to point #1)

    Advice to Management

Some key points for success. Focus on the customer experience and perception. Empower your employees to be the subject matter experts they need to be. Build leaders as opposed to managers. Continue to invest in your people.

Thank you for your recent review, this is useful feedback from someone who has been with the business for less than a year. All businesses like to think that their employees as subject matter experts, but do we give them the tools to achieve this? At Condeco we are working hard to develop a continually enriched training platform that allows our teams to develop both their technical and their management skills. We believe that this is an important part of our role as a business and as a business we are investing to develop this in terms of content and accessibility.

Impressive client list; potential for the business to grow; seem to be leading in the room scheduling industry

    Cons

Unmotivated employees, particularly on Sales; many complaints about technical glitches and supply problems; lack of a positive team environment and mostly antisocial; stuck between a global company feel and a start up feel; ineffective management from bottom up; lack of clear communication and leadership across regions
