I have been working at Cone Health full-time

    Pros

I have never worked for a place that had such a great culture and inviting atmosphere.

    Cons

Senor management spends too much time in meetings and not enough time with employees.

  3. "Good place to work"

    Pros

    My coworkers were THE best!

    Cons

Sometimes logic and common sense were overwhelmed with the focus of being magnet certified. The belief that college degrees and certifications are what makes the best employees is not always true.

    Advice to Management

Allow experience and performance to count as much as the degrees and certifications.

I worked at Cone Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Self Scheduling, Average Benefits, Overtime Opportunities

    Cons

Worst management I've ever seen. RNs and Paramedics do exactly the same job, however the RNs make 50-100% more. Units are overused for non emergency transport and staffing is always short.

    Cons

Not a major concern but must work in current department or position for 6 months before allowed to transfer somewhere else

I have been working at Cone Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Cone Health is an innovative health system that is always looking for ways to improve quality care as well as staff satisfaction.
Cone Health encourages continuing education and offers generous tuition reimbursement.
The "culture" of the health system has changed overtime and it does not always put finances ahead of patient care and staff satisfaction. Evidence has proven that "happy employees" promote "happy patients" and quality outcomes.

    Cons

None. It is the best place to work!

    Advice to Management

Always look for qualified candidates and not JUST diversity.
