    Pros

    Flexible Schedule
    Work from home
    Great Salary

    Cons

0 Employee Development or training including for managers.
Good people left due to reorganization 3 times in the past 5 years bringing new CEO's. New CEO's mean brand new direction for the entire company.
Horrible healthcare benefits - high deductible plans only.
Brute force work mentality leaves employees burnt out and looking to leave - no Work/life balance.
    No trust in management.
Weak culture due to high turnover and layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people. Encourage them to develop their skills and learn new things. Celebrate the successes to bring morale up from the bottom where it is now.

I have been working at Connecture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good PTO package and fair pay.

    Cons

    Layoffs after Layoffs after Layoffs.

There is no training program for any role in the company. No roadmap to success. You're given a computer, and then given the opportunity to either sink or swim.

Good ole boys club, if you or your family is a friend of the CEO, you will always have a job at Connecture. Unfortunately for those who are not, expect to be laid off.

    Advice to Management

Support your employees and they'll support you, unfortunately in a matter of 16 months you have destroyed all company morale and don't see this changing under your leadership.

I have been working at Connecture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Very flexible work hours.
    Ability to work from home.
Great people around you, even life long friends.
Your closest allies is usually the ones sitting closest to you.
Cutting edge technology. (buzz word driven development)
    Great location to work at.

    Cons

Cutting edge technology. (buzz word driven development) This is great if you understand new technology, but this isn't the case. This causes developers to fish with dynamite instead of hooks and reels,
Consistently under market pay scale across the board. You can't expect they pay in WI to be the same for people in CA. Leadership will cause contentious feelings between the offices. All this contention builds up like a powder keg.
    Layoffs. Unceremoniously.
    Resignation of great talent. Unceremoniously.
    Wholesale layoffs. Unceremoniously.
As a health care and benefit search and enroll platform, the health care and benefits are terrible.
Director or above stock options only. What's good for the gander should be good for the goose.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be petty.
    Listen to your employees.
PTO maxed employees should be honored with their dedication and sacrifice.
Death marches don't belong in enterprise level technology companies.
    Invest in the people.
After so many rounds of layoffs throughout the organization, actions should be taken to reassure the people, Not have a police state mentality to squash the suspected well poisoners. You've done that all on your own.

I have been working at Connecture (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, Flexible schedule, Flexible schedule, Flexible schedule, Flexible schedule,
    Talented co-worker.

    Cons

First two years pretty good, performance review is good, rated as the top 5% employee and promised to be promoted to be a manager.
Then the company reorganized and assigned to new group and report to a director from SA, The third year is OK, but a few talented people left the company, and a few talented people who are US citizen was kicked out, but replaced with few people from SA.
The fourth year is the worst, assigned to a new group and report to a manager from SA, nightmare almost every day, always picked up and have a office talk.
I saw few people who are weak on tech skills but promoted to manager who just do follow up and sent off-hours email to show they are busy.

    Advice to Management

Need to know the real scene behind by talking to talent people.
The engineers make most of the money and need be treated fairly.
Focus on productivity not by how busy a people showing.

    Pros

*Work from home / schedule flexibility

    Cons

*no real growth / developmental opportunities
*use the wrong criteria to promote some individuals to people managers. Just because a person might have been organized in her/his individual contributor role, does not validate that he / she makes a good director / people manager. Some Nabagers are the reason people leave organizations. Pay close attention.. The Director is not always right..

    Advice to Management

*Stop trying to be friends with everyone and hire people to get the job done.
*Training and development would be nice.

I have been working at Connecture full-time

    Pros

Life / Work balance; schedule flexibility

    Cons

Just because a person is organized in their day-to-day work does not mean that the person is a good manager. It's important to me that I am empowered by a manager and I learn something from the person. ... not regressing. Some people are just not good managers. They may be able to help and train people in their current role that are in similar roles.. I've found that when someone doesn't know anything about a given field, they tend to not embrace the benefits that the field brings. For someone passionate about a respective field this can be disheartening.

    Advice to Management

It's very true that a manager can have a HUGE bearing on employee turnover. Really take a look at what type of manager you are aligning others with and if they are really bringing value to the growth of the respective individual or hindering growth..

    Pros

in one work people in the LA office are the best to work with. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. We have people that we can learn from and an environment that is challenging enough so you don't get bored.

    Cons

They stopped paying bonuses but we were told that we will get it again so i don't know when they will start again.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of offshore/nearshore teams and let the internal team too look after projects.
