I worked at Constratus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No culture/values or professionalism here. If you are unable to find a job than this is the place to work for. Offers no growth or training to their employees. If you don't have a degree or any skills than this is the place to be. Overall bad and sketchy company.

    Cons

Steals customers and temps from other well know firms.

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't exist in this company just clowns and skillless employees.

I worked at Constratus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company with opportunity to learn a lot about the industry and get your foot in the door, as they will hire employees without much previous experience as long as you are willing to take a salary at a lower rate. Good place to get a job if you can't get a job anywhere else, work there for a year and then you will be able to get a job at a better company.

    Cons

Management and ownership are liars and border-line illegal practices, such as not reimbursing consultants for thousands and thousands of dollars, being sexist, generally treating their employees horribly. They never pay their rent on time and have been threatened to be kicked out of the office multiple times in the last year. They lie to new employees about commission, job growth opportunities, and payment terms. They play horrible politics and play favorites for those who are least deserving of it. They are late on bills so often that the employees don't even have their basic systems to use and can barely do their jobs, yet are expected to produce the same results. Half the employees are so immature that they gang up on other employees and make rumors until these employees are either forced to quit or laid off due to lies/rumors that were never even true. They also will fire employees and never even tell them why. They rarely give training (except free online training offered by their systems), they don't give performance reviews...and even if you do you job well and make good money for the company they will find a way to push you out if you don't play into their childish games. It's clear that the positive reviews on here were written by management, because they simply try to discount the negative things that other employees have said (which are true -- ex: that the work atmosphere is good and employees are paid on time, etc.). There were consultants and contractors that were paid over 6 weeks late at one point. So that's over a month with getting paid at all, meanwhile they employees are putting out their own money and not getting paid, and some have had to resort to legal options to finally get the compensation or reimbursement that they deserve. I have never worked for a company that is so shady, childish and corrupt in my entire life and anyone who works here has already left or wants to leave, aside from about 2-3 employees which are the ones feeding the flames of negativity. Turnover is so high, and they certainly don't care about their employees. They expect them to be grunt workers, micromanaged and to deal with it or walk out the door, and everyone in the industry is starting to realize this. They are doing so badly financially that the news is now that they are shutting down their NJ office and opening up a small office in PA (close to where the owner lives), and even that will probably turn into a sinking ship, so this company has nowhere to go exact down.

    Advice to Management

Others on here have mentioned that one of the cons is the lack of good health care options due to being a small company. This is an excuse. As someone who has worked for even smaller companies, there are ways to get better insurance plans for their employees that would offer a higher level of care for much less money out of the employees pockets, and despite claiming that they've looked for alternative plans, they either don't really care and didn't really do their due diligence to find good plans for their employees, or they simply don't care about actually making any hanged and helping their employees. Some of the smaller companies I had used the same providers doe healthcare and were able to find specific rules, options and loop holes that allowed them to offer multiple plan options with great coverage levels for literally 75% less of a cost that the employees had to pay out for a much better plan. So this "excuse" is simply that--a lie and an excuse and just shows another example of how Constratus does not care for its employees and that ownership doesn't know how to run on a company, except for running it into the ground.

Put some real value and invest into your employees because everyone knows that these are your biggest assets....Also, stop lying and writing bogus reviews on Glassdoor just to try to save your reputation. It's already ruined and everyone knows the truth already anyway. My true advice would be to find new, qualified management or just give up and stop dragging your poor employees through the mud, along with your company's name and reputation.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Constratus has displayed to me that it is a small company that truly cares about its employees, management consultants and contractors. For example, during my first year of employment, I have seen that my colleagues have been and are able to work from home when needed. The flexible work environment availability for its employees is a huge factor in promoting a healthy work environment. When coworkers have needed to take care of personal issues, the company has on numerous occasions assisted the coworkers with great support. It has a positive work office environment, very well structured and an open door policy with the owner at all times. It makes it easy to come to work with such talented people. The base salary is very good and competitive with today's economy. Upper management has made it a point to keep the employees updated with the direction, vision and upcoming changes the company is heading toward in the future. It is pleasure to come into a work environment on a daily basis, knowing that you are encouraged and motivated to do your best work and ultimately recognized by your peers and management for your efforts.

    Cons

Due to Constratus being a small company, it is slightly challenged in being able to offer competitive healthcare options that a large company is able to provide.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and thank you for listening to its employees.

    Pros

There is honestly nothing positive from my experience working with them. They currently owe over $8,000.00 and have no intention of paying it.

    Cons

The most unethical, fraudulent, dishonest company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They do not pay their debts, pure and simple. I've spoken with numerous other former employees who have said the same thing -- they will withhold money and run you in circles when you ask about it, claiming they have no authority and directing you to ghost voicemail boxes. Am looking into legal options. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    Advice to Management

You are a bunch of con artists. There is nothing I would advice except that no one do business with their scammers.

I worked at Constratus full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The atmosphere used to include autonomy and a good work/life balance, but this is no longer true, so the only pros are that the compensation is fair (when you actually get paid on time) and the location is convenient.

    Cons

Micromanagement beyond any level I've ever encountered; management makes rash and emotional decisions rather than logical and methodical ones. The employees don't get along with each other and the politics are some of the worst I've eve seen. They have no processes in place for everything and are sexist, as well as discriminatory against anyone with young children (or who are planning on having children). Lots of unnecessary administrative work that overlaps and wastes productivity. Employee expense reimbursements and bonuses/comissions are NEVER paid on time--some employees are owed over $5000 at any given time. Direct deposit never works--by the time you get your check in the mail and if clears, a week has passed since the payroll date. Finances are in shambles--services get shut off due to lack of payment ALL the time. Generally the work environment is extremely hostile and they manage with fear, which study after study shows is counterproductive. 80% of the employees are unhappy and looking to leave and turnover is very high.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees as they are your most valuable asset. Happy employees yeilds results, and you'll be able to stay competitive in the market, which they currently are not. Learn how to diversify your client base and stop hiring managers that are less qualified than the people they are managing...

I have been working at Constratus (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good Salary when starting.
    Hires very experienced consultants

    Cons

management is a big liar - will say the company is big, but there only about 10 people in the company. Employment agreement says 10% bonus, but people don't get bonus.
Work is just at the client site. And there's only a few clients. You will spend a whole lifetime doing boring, basic work that the client's project manager or product manager wants to outsource.
You will find that your skills have become obsolete in a few years because of lack of training or learning opportunities.
bad benefits - dental plan is bad, medical plan is very limited, no 401k match. No dental or medical for family (you have to pay for everything).

    Advice to Management

    Stop lieing.

    Pros

Very laid-back atmosphere, no micromanagement, recruiter are friendly, there is no sick competition (well, why would there be if you are not getting your commission anyhow)

    Cons

They will lie about the compensation structure. Don't even bother showing them what they signed on your contract. They will ignore it. Very limited time off. There was supposed to be work time flexibility with work from home option (again, not true), you won't make commission there (and if you do - they will drag their feet to pay it).

    I worked at Constratus full-time

    Pros

That this company will likely go out of business in the next 6 months.

    Cons

So many to list. As with several others on this list and a number of collegues I know who previously worked for this company - we are all owed thousands of dollars. The Managing Director, who is really the CEO, lies and steals from employees as well as clients. The client I worked has him on the DO NOT DO BUSINESS with list. No response to emails, phone calls (his VM box wasa full for 5 months) when I was owed $17k. He promised several people the same commission to bring other consultants on the project but never paid any of them. Totally unscrupulous, devious, underhanded

    Advice to Management

Guarantee this company will go out of business - just hope he doesn't have the opportunity to steal from any more hard working employees.
