    I have been working at Consumer Cellular full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The President and CEO are visible and make all employees feel welcome. We have wonderful catered lunches and all employee meetings that make everyone feel involved. The benefits are very good, and the culture is relaxed yet professional. It feels like I'm part of a family!

    Cons

    It is difficult to get time off around the holidays.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the focus on quality over quantity even when we're busy, and we will continue to please existing customers and bring in new ones.

    Continue to consistently communicate with your Supervisors. Making sure everyone is on the same page has helped a lot.

    I worked at Consumer Cellular full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    People were great, benefits were nice. The management staff was warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. Also tried many ways to boost morale.

    Cons

    Customers and the expectations to rush a call to completion when we are dealing with elderly people who need patience was an issue.

    Pros

    Health insurance is paid for if you follow some health tips.

    Cons

    No empathy for employee. Reduce pay when they want.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees with respect and comprehend situations. I was release of my job because I had a family emergency and couldnt make it to work. Instead of asking for what happen or showing any sign of empathy they just mailed my last paystub with no other written or verbal information about my release.

    Overtime pay is great
    Dress code is pretty laid back

    Somewhat disorganized
    Not really flexible about hours
    Some of the rules being set in place are ridiculous

    My advice to management to make sure that all the rules are being explained from the beginning

    Great benefits. Pay is okay. Big lunch room.

    Poor management, poor training, poor attendance policy, unknowledgable supervisors.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more time and money into the training programs. Accomodate special needs and be more understanding to peoples personal lives

    Pros

    Very very very very very very high turn over rate, no better than ACS , thank goodness Multnomah county came and saved me. Low life and trash at the call center, management is made up of people who would never get a chance to manage with a real professional company company. Work here until the real job comes. I quit 😃

    Cons

    CEO's have no idea how their company is being ran. The worst oregonians work there, Pedophiles, prostitutes and mentally ill.

    Advice to Management

    Take a bath, fix your teeth, learn people skills, grow up and go to anger management.

    I worked at Consumer Cellular full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good benefits if you can wait for 6 months.

    Cons

    Pay is low to be a hoodini of sorts. Meaning your providing service to the senior community which despises technology in the first place. You have to wait to be bonus eligible for 6 months but are expected to be a sales superstar but don't get compensated. Consumer Cellular is not a carrier, therefore are put in a precarious scenario if one of the two networks is experiencing issues. I.E. Smart Phones Unable to receive and send Pic Messaging(ongoing issue)Some Supervisors set there Pods up like your in a Kindergarten Classroom.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up and smell the coffee the churn of cancelling customers means that your not doing your job. Coupled with extraordinarily long hold times(sometimes 45 minutes to 60 minutes) which make customers extremely agitated coming into the call your taking.
