Pros

Came to Containerport Group from the road as a new owner op, this is my home area, the road lifestyle was terrible, inconsistent rates, bad mechanics, etc. So came home returned to running drayage in my new to me truck. Not too bad, got a decent dispatcher listens and tries to help me hit my goal weekly, safety guy in our office is nice, previously a driver so he's understanding. Issues with being able to utilize all the DOT logging tools available to us with split clocks as needed isn't offered at all, from corporate. Samsara sucks. Running a sleeper truck so stay out overnight a couple nights a week works for me as my truck is my house at this time. The pay yo-yos alot in my experience this year. Overall pulled out $100,000k plus since late may 2025. Use my own fuel cards as theirs isn't helpful to my business outlook.

Cons

Inconsistent freight, the port is open close to holidays but the office isn't, can't work if the office doesn't. Dislike yard maintenance needs more than adding gravel, some potholes.

Pros

Absolutely none. You get a check and insurance.

Cons

Work/life balance, pay, safety department, high level management is all promoted through buddy system. Executives are highly under qualified and get promoted ever after constant failure. This company lies to your face and uses you as long as you will allow them to. Kids are promoted into positions of high leadership that have no idea how to treat people much less any real experience running a company. You'll never get a bonus. my favorite experience was the time the owner of the company sent out a mass email to all employees telling us about his leave to go sail the Pacific on his yacht right after a mass layoff. There's also 0 diversity.
