Cons
bad management, sometimes people have too many responsiblities and others dont have enough
Pros
Thanks to some of the good managers there, I was allowed to transfer into a new department and learn new skills. I really appreciated this.
Cons
Executives do not care about the growth of their employees. They are insincere, dishonest and care only about themselves. It is widely known that fake reviews are posted to Glassdooor to balance against the genuine appraisals that are posted by real employees. There are some good managers there but none at the executive level.
Pros
Great culture; transparent and approachable management; excellent benefits, and great location; exciting and interesting business model
Cons
Almost no work/life balance; responsibilities without proper compensation; great lateral movement but no upward movement
Pros
They offer training and certification repayment. Work from home is nice and flexible schedule.
Cons
The management and executives have either no idea how to run a company or simply do not care. The new portal is utter garbage, and affects not only the customers from a UI perspective, but also hinders the workers from doing their job functions. Very weak development team as they rolled the merchant portal into production with so many defects, almost as if they never even bothered to test it first. Very poor project management that frustrates multiple departments handling the customer accounts. The company also makes decisions without the customer knowing ahead of time, thus leading to angry calls. Management makes very questionable decisions and does not consider how it affects their workers. They expect you to take calls and do online support at the same time, leading to mistakes and inefficient work. The customers do not speak of the company highly and always explain how bad the business practices are. The manager constantly has us saying sorry for every issue that affects the customer that does not involve the workers. For all the stress doing all the work they want, they do not pay their workers well at all. Even the workers that have been there for years do not make much. They use their employees and do not care about improvements or ideas. Weak management team that never sticks up for their own employees and focuses on appearances and numbers only. Very bad phone system that logs workers out often. The phone structure is lopsided to the point to where majority of the calls you get belong to other departments, adding much higher overheads to the job for everyone. Management just doesn't seem to understand how to control a situation properly. No communication for changes in the work environment and added job duties. They add job duties with no planned training, and customers call in very upset that there is no support since nobody was trained. For anyone wanting to get into information security, this is not the place where you want to start. All the workers are trying their best to get out as nobody is getting adequately paid for their time.
Pros
Some really good people, flexibility, benefits
Cons
Little or no communication between departments, weak management team, high expectations, below industry average compensation
