I have been working at Cottage Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There are so many.

Cottage treats their employees like they are worth something. The level of appreciation and recognition I receive on a daily basis is the highest I have ever gotten in my (almost) 40 year career.

In addition, they pay at the high end of the scale, and the benefits are top-notch.
When I applied, I asked for a 15% higher salary than I was getting from my former employer, and when Cottage extended me an offer, it was 15% yet again more than I asked for. That's unheard of in today's world. Their reasoning is that they "want to keep good people", and I would say that, between the higher than average salaries, better than average benefits, and extremely positive and rewarding environment, they have succeeded.

These factors motivate employees (myself included) to do our very best and give back to the environment and community. I intend to be here for a very long time.

    Cons

Hard to think of any, but I suppose every place has it's drawbacks. Cottage really tried to take feedback and make improvements any time the feedback is negative.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Continue to make us all feel like we belong here, keep rewarding us for good work, and you will have loyal employees for life!

I worked at Cottage Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Scenery, weather, cheap medical insurance

    Cons

Unethical conduct within organization, underpaid, way overworked, various discrimination and harassment the entire time from HR, Finance, Purchasing and Employee Health and Safety. HR, Directors and management fail to protect injured workers to prevent further injury. Workload is increased for injured workers as a means to get them out. They allow horrible harassment to happen. If reported to HR, nothing is done and goof luck with advancing in the company. Company fails to protect class protected individuals from harassment and discrimination.

    Advice to Management

Get right with God because only god can fix the internals in this organization.
