Unprofessional CEO

Pros

Unfortunately, I couldn't think of a single Pro.

Cons

As an employee, I was expected to handle heavy packages weighing over 10 kg (half my weight), without any regard for my safety or well-being. Company failed to provide any PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like safety gloves or proper safety shoes which resulted in a number of work-related incidents, which the CEO didn’t take seriously and even laughed at. Furthermore, the company failed to follow standard procedures, such as issuing official written warnings (Abmahnung) before taking any disciplinary actions. In general very toxic company culture.

Pros

Unfortunately, there are none at all.

Cons

My experience at Countercheck was awful, specifically with the company's tech CEO, whose management style and actions have negatively impacted the work environment and hindered the growth and success of the company. Countercheck, as a tech company, claims to be human-centric and dedicated to benefiting both its parent company and society. However, my experience was anything but. The CEO treats employees like disposable tools, fostering a hostile and stressful environment. This is particularly disappointing, considering the company's considerable funding, which could have been utilized to support talented individuals and generate a positive impact on society. The Tech CEO’s narcissistic tendencies, inability to work with others, and focus on what went wrong create a hostile and stressful atmosphere for employees. He also constantly threatened employers with their jobs. I was threatened twice for no reason and without warning, by the ceo posting my job on the internet, knowing I would see it, as I had access to the HR software. This was also done to another employer at the company. He then without telling anyone on the team, brought in another candidate, and told me “She will either support you in your role or she will take your job.” I’ve never in my life been treated like this or had such a terrible work experience His condescending behavior, lack of open communication, and micromanagement were also not only unprofessional but also detrimental to the overall well-being of the team. The CEO's management style stifles growth and is particularly concerning for a startup company, where adaptability and seizing opportunities are crucial to success. He creates unnecessary complications, making simple tasks and conversations convoluted and draining. Communication is often hostile, unprofessional, and disorganized. This leader appears to have little interest in listening to employees, frequently dismissing their input only to repeat the same ideas later. This work environment is far from conducive to open communication, with the CEO expecting employees to act as "yes men." The CEO often attempts to "trip up" employees, rarely offering congratulations or encouragement. Efficiency and organization are severely lacking in Countercheck's management. The CEO bombards employees with a barrage of messages and comments rather than providing clear, concise information through proper channels. Feedback is often unproductive, harsh, and sweeping in its negativity. Employees are frequently left without the necessary context, information, or support to perform their roles effectively. The Countercheck environment was toxic and included an onslaught of narcissistic behavior from the CEO, and inefficient management. The Tech CEO of Countercheck fails to take responsibility for his actions, creating a toxic work environment that undermines the company's potential. The time and energy spent on terrorizing employees and clients would be better spent working toward the company's growth and development. The lack of trust and support makes it challenging for employees to thrive and contribute to the company's success. I do not recommend working at this company unless you want to feel constantly disrespected, learn nothing on the job, and hinder your quality of life.
