I have been working at CoxHealth part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay, good work atmosphere, caring employees

    Cons

Lack of accountability in coworkers and management.

    Advice to Management

Instead of changing an entire practice because of an individuals incompetency, hold them accountable.

I have been working at CoxHealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Staff works well together, great team work. Management tries to accommodate work scheduling and improving communication.

    Cons

Pay is substandard for nursing. The pay ceiling is low and "merit increases" apparently are just a fiction if you are bumping up against the pay ceiling. A merit increase of "2.5%" can translate to a mere 33 cents an hour. That is about as good as I got working in high school at McDonald's...very insulting after many years of nursing experience and care. Explains turnover rate. 2) Benefits. Not inexpensive. Cafeteria...

    Advice to Management

Seriously need to raise the ceiling on pay if you are serious about retaining excellent nurses with experience. Otherwise, you will get new grads with no experience. This gets into dangerous waters. Also, need to seriously look at the benefit package and how ETO is handled as well as other benefits. Do a national survey, try to attract good people here. There are lots of retirees and people quitting..in this labor market...

I have been working at CoxHealth full-time for more than a year

      Pros

EVEryone is so helpful and cares about your wellbeing. Management is always taking advice to improve things. And it is a great place for advancement.

      Cons

Pay is on the lower side. Nursing assistants do so much and we need to be compensated for it.

      Advice to Management

Don’t be afraid to let go of lazy and negative people who do not care about their jobs. It effects the morale keeping them around.

I have been working at CoxHealth full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

lots of training CEU opportunities They really want you to succeed and become a well developed coder They offer work from home for those that want/need it

      Cons

Pay is less than many other companies. how they handle pto isn't the greatest. They don't have separate holiday/vacation/sick time. It all comes out of one set of hours you earn over time. Makes it a little hard to keep track of how much you actually have if you want time off. You have to take into account upcoming holidays to make sure you have enough to cover.

I have been working at CoxHealth full-time

      Pros

The pay is pretty good. If you love working with children, this is the best place for it.

      Cons

A lot of gossip and rumors, so watch your back. Long Hours (They put a scheduled time like 6:00 am to 2:30 pm but you never get out at your time. You always stay an hour to two hours over. You will feel worn out and under appreciated.

      Advice to Management

Actually Talk to your staff about things happening. Stop talking about other staff members or parents in the front office, especially if it is negative. Get off your cell phones- If staff members can't be on their phones in a classroom, neither should the front office people. Actually have your staff members back when things get tough between someone in the front office and a staff member. Don't pretend like you...

I worked at CoxHealth full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Helping the patients is the only thing I enjoyed about that place.

      Cons

Being unappreciated no matter how long you work there. I had to carry the weight of incompetent leaders, was forced to work long hours with barely a break due to lack of staffing, had to deal with two faced gossiping leaders who stir the pot, management lie and promise things they do not follow through with, leaders sacrifice the well being of their employees under the guise of "doing what's best for the patients" and...

      Advice to Management

Someone needs to pay attention to what's going on. Obviously no one cares the retention rate is horrible and not a single former/current employee has anything good to say.
