Excellent Company

CoxHealth has great job options for those who want to work on campus or remotely.
Cons
I haven't found many downsides to working for Cox. I've been with them for about 9 months and love working remotely.

Would have stayed for coworkers. Nothing else.

Coworkers and the doctors, nurses, NPs, and PAs I worked with were wonderful.
Cons
Experience varies vastly from clinic to clinic. One clinic may have a FANTASTIC manager, another may have a micromanager that needs to be breathing down your neck at all times. Benefits are a joke--your holidays come out of your PTO so if you've been sick or just started, you won't get paid for your holiday. Insurance is expensive despite being a hospital and they cover very little. Also had a coworker call someone a transphobic slur and when I brought it up to my manager, nothing happened and I got the generic response of "well, we have DEI training in place. We can add more for the clinic." as if it wasn't a single employee that was causing problems. Truth is, this employee was sometimes straight up homophobic to another employee.

Be careful who you trust

Shift flexibility and hours were good. Most equipment is up to par and state if the art.
Cons
Terrible management/ terrible supervisors. Like a messed up remake of Mean Girls only Regina George gets away with everything by complaining about how mean all her employees are towards her. Bullying is acceptable somehow and when brought to the attention of higher ups they sweep it under the rug.

Pros
The hospital had a strong reputation for providing high-quality care to patients, and I felt proud to be a part of that team. Additionally, many of my colleagues were dedicated and skilled professionals who made my job easier and more enjoyable.
Cons
I was body-shamed by a top officer during a single encounter, which was deeply upsetting and unprofessional. Furthermore, I observed favoritism among some unit managers when it came to assignments and promotions, which created a sense of unfairness and inequality in the workplace. Shifts during weekends and nights were hard to come by, which made it difficult to balance work and life outside of the hospital system.
