-Employees are no more than a number. Very below average salary and no opportunities for upward growth. In 2+ years of employment, there was never a formal review of my performance. -Cheap company. Because the company lacked any annual review process, I eventually asked for a raise. I was given 4%, but this left me with a salary that was still a 5-digit difference between what I was making and the range I should make at my experience level. As a result, the talent pool was poor and it often felt like the client was unhappy with the work being done. "Junior" remained in my job title at over 4 years of experience. When I called this out to leadership, I was told that it was actively being addressed behind the scenes, but no changes were ever made. -Very little contact with leadership. As contractors, most time is spent with your team within the client organization. It wasn't uncommon to go many, many months without hearing from my direct manager.
