I have been working at DECO full-time

    Pros

Very professional teams. Excellent life work balance.

    Cons

No cons to offer, good employer.

    Pros

Outstanding pay. You're paid for what you may have to do instead of what you are actually doing. Supervisors are great, I haven't had a single issue to this point. VERY flexible with scheduling. Lots of training. Excellent job if you're looking to move into local law enforcement or federal law enforcement.

    Cons

Having to work with FPS (Homeland Security Police). It can take awhile to get a permanent post so newer guards have to work all over the state, however compensation for travel is excellent. Changing schedules from graveyards to days and back to graveyards can wear, but if you're willing to work whenever that shouldn't be a problem.

I have been working at DECO (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Solid employment and consistent on time pay

    Cons

Management is unqualified to lead personal and their consistency within how they handle their subordinates are a direct indication of same. Results, low motivation and high levels of turnover despite paying $24 Dollars an hour or more.

    Pros

Good pay for that line of work, issued firearm

    Cons

Monotonous job, very little opportunity for advancement, no matching 401k contributions. Also, it takes 1-2 years to get a permanent post so if you don't like driving somewhere new or having a different schedule every week, this would be a con. Could be a pro too though- helps break up the monotony.

    Advice to Management

I didn't have an issue with management. The cons are just due to the structure of that industry.

I have been working at DECO full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Steady Job and good facilities to work in. The Federal staff treats us like we are there employees which makes things more bearable.

    Cons

Micro Managing and want's to pay substandard wages compared to the other locations in OK

    Advice to Management

Don't forget your good employees and treat them like you say they are

    Pros

    Decent salary. Some good people.

    Cons

Company runs on threats , lies and intimidations. There nothing but inconsistencies in policy, and rules are changing every day. Magna's "open door policy" has made Deco a revolving door. People are let go weekly. Constant management changes(firing/hiring)
There is complete lack of respect from management and they make you feel like a complete burden if you ask questions.
Human resources do not stand behind employees who are trying to advance withing the company.
    Moral is very low.

    I worked at DECO full-time

    Pros

Decent pay for a student, choice of random hours, able to study at work

    Cons

unorganized, very little structure to organization.

    Advice to Management

slow down growth of company, and focus on stabilizing what is already in place, or the company will get a bad reputation of employee turn over.
