Pros
Innovative company, always in for improvements Function wise you carry a lot of responsibility which is a challenge, like planning job strategies, loading, discharging, ballast conditions, logistics, maintenance and QHSE set-up during major repairs, QHSE implementation during operations. Vessel's management (Captain and OCM) is involved only in screening process/strategies, giving eventually his approval. Basically if the job preparation and approach make logic sense, nobody will have comments and you can run a nice and smooth shift with your team members.
Cons
There is lack of job/function structure in the company. The company has an innovative approach but seems to forget solving on-going problems before making new plans, referring to technical systems and the condition of the vessel. Structure wise there is no clear job description. People in certain functions are even required to perform jobs which fall outside their expertise, (NOT CLEAR which in offshore standards is not done.) For example there is no ROV technician on-board and the technical repairs/maintenance are divided over four departments. This creates unnecessary chaos. The crew handles according to his best knowledge, but a trained ROV technician should be in place. In this way the other departments could focus on their own professional area.
