    I worked at DOOR3 full-time

    Pros

As a designer, developer, BA, etc. you'll get to work on challenging and complex projects for a range of clients and industries. You'll have access to a variety of high-quality projects, many with the potential to be great. You'll quickly accrue meaningful experience that will further your career and skillset overall. They're a smart, dedicated team that has carved out a unique niche focusing on enterprise digital experiences.

    Cons

Turn-a-round times to deliver work can be tight and can require stretching beyond the normal 9-5 to hit deadlines. That just comes with the territory of consulting though.

I have been working at DOOR3 full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

The people and employees at DOOR3 is my favorite part of working at this company. Great friends, collaboration, and a low stress even amongst high stakes. I enjoy coming into working every day. This agency provides many opportunities to learn and grow. You are able to learn more about new technologies but also how to perform on many full project lifecycles.

    Cons

The company has gone through periods of high and low volumes of clients.

    I have been working at DOOR3 full-time

    Pros

I've been at DOOR3 for a few years and one of the highlights of working here is the office culture. The staff is highly capable and determined, working together and supporting each other. Working in the office often feels like working with friends.

    Cons

I don't have any to report so far.

    I worked at DOOR3 full-time

    Pros

    1. General office management was outstanding. Jen and Harry were also such bright spots in the office. I had a lot of bad days, and I know I showed it sometimes. They were also so upbeat and thoughful, and I felt like they always went the extra mile. 2. If you can make it through a difficult project, you will have learned more skills in a matter of months then a lot of people learn in years. 3. The work is pretty...

    Cons

    1. The hourly allocations are optimistic to the point of delusion at times. This isn't applicable to all areas of the organization, but being allocated 1 to 5 hours makes it very difficult to complete work if people are dependent on your output. Someone will always get the 5 hours at the end of the week and that can be problematic. 2. Reliance on staffing firms using the contract to hire model. Sometimes these hires...

    Advice to Management

In addition to screening people for measurable skills (Agile training, Drupal BE/FE, Script Automation, ETC) try and have some consideration given to interpersonal skills. They don't always matter on an average or easy project, but they can be the difference between a team imploding or suceeding on a difficult one.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. This is balanced and fair. While I love to see folks who enjoy their time at DOOR3 enough to give it 5 stars, I'm the first to look for ways to get better, and you can't do that if you don't acknowledge there are areas to work on. We're ...

    Cons

If you are looking for a career opportunity then this isn't for you. This is like a cattle shop where they have a high turnover rate and lay employees off without notice. There were approximately 15 employees that were laid off within a matter of 6 months. They use you and then when company is not doing well financially, they let go off you. They also don't have their processes set as well. Everyone has a different way...

I worked at DOOR3 full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Flexible work/life balance. I worked from home whenever I wanted. This was a huge reason behind staying on as long as I did. Benefits are good, and they match 401k. Boys club if that's your sort of thing. Smart/Nice people all wanted to do good work. Engineers are all supportive of each other. Projects are usually always cool and challenging, there are no "boring small projects" at DOOR3.

    Cons

They are a Just-In-Time Contract Shop that off-shores the majority of their work to a satellite office in Kiev, even though they market themselves as the opposite, and love to tell clients that they are on-shore. They hired developers/PM while still negotiating SOWs, only to fire them all at the end of the project, i've saw so many people come through, I wouldn't even bother to learn their names. When they ask me "what...

    Advice to Management

I worked at Door3 for quite a long time(for tech), while all the people were nice and well meaning, they were mostly fake, and there was a rot in the company that never went away. While I worked there I was always on a project, I never was on the "bench", so even though some employees would be and disappeared for months, I averaging a billable hours rate of around 105%, and one of the most highly profitable employees...

I have been working at DOOR3

    Pros

-- Centrally located -- Interesting projects to work on, especially in the mobile and web applications space -- Chance to travel for work -- Liberal work from home policy -- Great team with good personalities all around -- Company's prospects overall look bright in the future

    Cons

-- Nowhere near as much room to grow as before -- Flow of work can vary greatly with the season -- Long term retention of employees is problematic as there is only little room to grow before you hit a ceiling
