Pros

Flexible time scheduale. Laidback office environment. Friendly co-workers (most of them) Pays higher than miminum wage. Relaxed desk job (sometimes) Located near metro station and a (busy) highway.

Cons

Lack of management structure. No punishment/reward system. Hardwork will not be recognised. Sloppy careless work is not punished. Permanent fire fighting mode. Long term issues are quick patched. Company works with BAD ISPs (Bell, 3men, etc...) Internal promotions are usually based on nepotism. If you don't know anyone here you won't get far. Pay below industry average. Company fails to finish projects, often rushing them out the door, with consequences, and is primaryly focused on chaotic growth. If you are a level 1 monitoring or support you only get medicine over the counter as a benefit. No extended medical and no dental unless you are a salaried employee. Would only recommend a friend to receive a taxed $200 bonus

Pros

• Convenient location (next to metro and highway) • Flexible schedule and personal/sick days • Laid back office environment. • Willing to hire candidates with little-to-no prior experience in the industry.

Cons

• Pay & compensation significantly below industry standards. • Insufficient training. New employees are expected to constantly learn on the job. • Constantly putting out fires. Management's approach to fixing problems is by applying band-aid solutions rather than fixing the root cause of the issue. This means you'll be constantly fixing the same problems. • No reward/punishment system. Hard work will go unrecognized, and slacking off will go unpunished. • Very little opportunities for career advancement or to learn new relevant-to-the-industry skills. • Very obvious nepotism.
