I worked at Deflecto full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Quiet work atmosphere. Nice people. Upper management envolves employees in events throughout the year. Gives back to employees in various ways.

    Cons

It was.not a bad place to work, so I really don't have anything negative at this time. I moved to a better opportunity which is why I left.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Deflecto full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on your department, there are some good people here. Other than that I really can't think of anything that I would call a "pro".

    Cons

If you want an 8-5 job where nothing changes, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a place where you can push yourself and the company to thrive and grow, keep looking. And stay clear of sales. LOTS of turnover, and steer FAR AWAY from the sales coordinator position unless you want to be verbally abused and become the department scapegoat. 3 different girls in the past two years.

    Advice to Management

As a whole communication is pretty lousy. No one really seems to know the full picture of what's going on. And some larger scale workings of the company need to change if the company is to be profitable in a changing market.

I worked at Deflecto full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company pays pretty fairly and has a vision for the future. They communicate that vision periodically and attempt to work together to make it happen.

    Cons

There is a major disconnect between departments with very poor communication. Employees are on a need to know basis, creating a culture of distrust.

    Advice to Management

By working together on more projects and sharing plans and current events more openly, the culture should eventually improve.

    Pros

    Opportunity to grow and develop.

    Cons

None that are significant to the position that I was in. Possibly better financial backing for the plant level improvements

    Advice to Management

Keep the employees informed as much as possible.

The setup of the company is such that high level staff are disconnected.

    Advice to Management

Work to bring more modern management styles into the administrative areas of the business.

I worked at Deflecto as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

great learning experience taught me a lot about accounting give a good over view of the manufacturing industry. friendly staff

    Cons

it was a great work place but the pay could have been a little more competitive being a intern involves a lot of grunt work
