Pros

Work with amazing co-works! It's a rewarding job to be able to work with these teenage boys and see the growth and progress they make. Have worked there for almost 10 years, we have staff who really care about these boys. You can take off time whenever needed and the administrators are GREAT people to work with. They have years of experience and care about the boys and making a differences.

Cons

Pay is low, raises every 6 months or even every year would be nice. Better insurance! Really this is the only con about DR!

Pros

It's rewarding to see the boys' successes and watch them grow into young men. Mentors and supervisors are personable and friendly. You get atleast 1 free meal a day.

Cons

Terrible benefits. Lack of communication and interaction between hourly staff and salaried administration. They take on whatever boys they can to increase profits. Poorly trained staff and very high turnaround. Horrible pay even after years of loyal employment.

Pros

I learned that people who present as having integrity and professionalism can actually be child abusers. Thanks for the life lesson.

Cons

I witnessed the boys being abused. A lot of psychological abuse and some physical abuse to the boys. Whenever any staff speaks up, you get black listed and treated poorly an sometimes wrongly fired. It is tragic how the Program Supervisors are in a position of power over the boys yet they yell at them, shame them, put them down, and punish them (take away privileges) when to boys complain of the harsh and abusive treatment. The Directors are complicit in the abuse and they lie to protect their abusive staff. Plus, we were asked to leave fake positive reviews on Google reviews. Tragically a child died here due to neglect and there are many stories of abuse here.
