      Pros

      Working at the Down’s Syndrome Association was a very positive experience. Even though my role was remote, the team made me feel included and supported from the start. Communication was clear, and everyone I interacted with was passionate about the work they were doing. It was rewarding to contribute to an organisation with such a strong sense of purpose and commitment to improving the lives of people with Down’s syndrome.

      Pros

      Remote work available No one remembers that you work there

      Cons

      Absolutely disgusting toxic bully culture. Cliques who don’t even like each other. Extremely lazy work ethic and teams can get away with doing nothing / taking 2hour lunch shopping trips, family visiting daily like a social club, speaking disrespectfully about past employees, sharing personal information about past employees. HR is in absolute shambles, completely incompetent and refuse to understand why certain teams members are dropping like flies. Literally a handful of people are physically in this huge dusty old building and no one wonders why most staff members prefer to work from home post pandemic…!

      Pros

      - working in the charity sector - lovely building offices in Teddington - Front staff were amazing - My line manager was superb and I learn so much from them.

      Cons

      - lack diversity within senior management - no salary banding; different departments did different things - no staff benefits - high employee burnout - no reward or appraise - be more inclusive
