    Pros

They do build a beautiful quality home

    Cons

Management unprofessional, can not live up to what is offered. Unapproachable, ZERO training on there systems, cross selling policy is ridiculous . Its fend for yourself and very cut throat!!!

    Advice to Management

the quality of management is well below the quality of the homes, management shows favoritism and does to much role playing .

    Pros

You will not find a more supportive team of co-workers. Great products and a management team that cares about their customers.

    Cons

Customers can be challenging. It's tough to see nice people unhappy with some aspect of their new home, especially since everyone at Drees has good intentions.

I have been working at Drees Homes full-time

    Pros

Building homes is fun when you have the right contractors.

    Cons

Lack of qualified sub contractors. Lack of pay for contractor. Making them not to return trips. Management tends to shoot from the hip with new policies and procedures. No committees involving the minority (builders) in construction practices.

    Advice to Management

Evolve with current status. PAY your qualified help what thier worth to keep them. Sub contractors and employees.

I worked at Drees Homes full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, large company, diverse products (homes, condos, commercial)

    Cons

Housing market crash really hurt the company (approx 2007) but back doing great things.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and great forward thinking.

    Pros

Loved working here. Had a very flexible schedule with reasonable pay. If I weren't just looking for a summer job it would have been great to continue.

    Cons

The cons were the heat, but that depends on location. It didn't challenge me mentally as much but it was just a summer job.

    Advice to Management

Be reasonable and respectful to the workers, it's easy to see some construction workers as inferior but they aren't. Drees recognizes this in my opinion. Great company.

I have been working at Drees Homes full-time

    Pros

On the job training and hands on teaching
Benefits aren't bad as far as milage is paid as well as good health benefits

    Cons

Management is lacking and at the same time a few are micro-mangers to the tee. As a builder trainee you may get shoved into a builder position without review of pay or even proper knowledge on jobs you take over

    Advice to Management

Let the builders do their job and stay out of the way until needed. When people transition in and out there needs to be a 2 week minimum for the tranisition

I worked at Drees Homes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great! We had a strong work ethic and always pitched in to help each other out.

    Cons

Cross communication between departments was horrible. It was as if the different departments were competing to see who would come out on top. The blame game was constant between departments. This company's management is "the good ole' boys club" style. Upper management is very antiquated and not willing to utilize current technology to improve certain aspects of business flow. Pay is also standard across the different divisions, instead of based on the city's economy you are employed in.

    Advice to Management

Stop performing for your pocket, and perform for the employees in your division, for ALL employees in the company. Management should have to learn how to use computers and software as the people they hire are expected to know.
