Pros
Money is good when business is good. You can set your own schedule. Lots of downtime (could also be a con, depends on the person).
Cons
You won't know your schedule ahead of time, you have to wait around for appointments and not get tied up doing something else in case they send you one (which might leave you waiting for hours when you could be doing something else). Amount and quality of appointments is very unreliable and inconsistent. Lots of driving and no payment for gas/mileage unless you're 75 miles out so if you aren't making sales, you're spending money to work. Management can tend to not be present and leave the company with no one running it.
