I worked at EXCEL (Less than a year)

    Pros

I loved this job even though I was only there 6 weeks. I was just asked to be tested for hire on when I had to quit because I was showing signs of carpel tunnel syndrome and I will not do surgery! I miss it all the time.
I worked weekend 12 hour shifts 3 days a week so I am basing my experience on this shift. FRIENDLY PEOPLE! Great shift to work on. Caring staff, nice workers that would go out of their way to help you even though it cut down on their production time. GREAT work out! I was getting in good shape but it was nothing too hard for this 51 year old woman. Some days were good and flew by then some days it would seem like everything would go wrong and you would want to walk out the door but it was like that for everybody and even in life it gets like that. Also they promote within the company so hard work can pay off.
Like I said I would go back in a heart beat but my health does come first.

    Cons

Some of the older scanners could get frustrating. There is sooooo much to learn that everyday you are going to be learning new things and that can get you upset if you let it. DRAMA....stay away from it. Did not have it much on weekends but heard other shifts were not as great as weekend days!
Some days go bad but it is life not the job and you just got to ride with it and know it will get better..or worse, lol.
Start out pay is only $10 BUT after you get hired on it goes to $12 and then you have bonuses for attendance and production that you can work on to get extra.

    Advice to Management

None on weekend day shift. Some of the other staff acted like they had their heads up their butts and but I just probably did not know them.
Keep that open door policy going. I wish I had come to my shift leaders first instead of the temp agency and let them know what was going on maybe they would have changed me around a bit to avoid my issues. You guys were great and made me feel I was doing good even on my bad days.
I miss the heck out of some of you and wish you all the best!
