    Pros

Awesome boss, awesome team. Managers don't micro manage your work or time and understand life happens and are flexible with doctors appointments etc. Next to a great trail to walk on during breaks.

    Cons

The telecommunications industry isn't that exciting and requires you to get in depth in the subject to grow to higher exec positions.

I have been working at Edgewater Networks full-time

    Pros

New management team has the company focused and everyone is working towards the right objectives now. Repositioning of the company makes a lot of sense and people are motivated. Everyone can see the results last year and things are things continue to be going great this year. There is a positive buzz in the company now.

    Cons

There still seems to be a slowness to transition to the "new Edgewater" for some people that have been around for a while.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make decisions and moves that help the company scale as we grow.

I worked at Edgewater Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small private company with family oriented culture. Approachable executive team, and ability to have an immediate impact regardless of function or title. Your input is welcomed, and your contributions are very visible. All-you-can-eat snacks, drinks, and free lunch provided once a week.

    Cons

Benefits are below par of what you might expect from a Silicon Valley company. There are some well entrenched long-standing employees that need to let go of the past, and embrace the future of where technology is going. Most importantly, the company needs a clear vision of where it is going both technologically and as a business. Simply existing to support the whims of big Service Providers is NO LONGER GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE LONG TERM!!!!

    Advice to Management

Develop and convey a clear vision of where this thing is going. Catering to the AT&T's of the world is just not motivational, not good for moral, and not good for the potential long-term existence of this business. Express to employees what is the end-game (e.g. merger / acquisition, IPO or just slug along).

    Pros

    Fun people and working environment

    Cons

Little recognition for a job well done. Gender bias. Behind the curve in technology and tools. Some difficult personalities.

    Advice to Management

Hire more women in executive positions.
