  1. "Chill Job."

I have been working at Elevate Learning part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Can make your own schedule. I like it so far. The pay is okay but I want to say that I am getting paid a lot more than other tutors that I know.

    Cons

They will charge you if you don't keep updates on your tutoring portal, don't submit your paper on time, fake your hours (but why would you wan to do that) and, if you are missing paperwork. All different prices too. They will also charge you $16 dollars per student if you are thinking about quitting the job if the students did not finish the tutoring hours with you. And this was not mentioned during orientation. I did my research when I was looking at my portal after I was hired.

    Advice to Management

Please be straight forward with these charges. I don't think people know about this.

I worked at Elevate Learning (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with kids and realizing the impact your making on them while forming close bonds are the best part of the job. Flexible hours. You make the schedule with the parent

    Cons

The pay is 17 per hour , however, you are not compensated for the time spent making the lesson plans for each student and writing their monthly progress reports.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay to become more competitive

I worked at Elevate Learning (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible work hours. You work with the children's families.

    Cons

Children were promised tablets after their tutoring was complete and I received various complaints from the families that they didn't. You don't hear from the supervisor much. Didn't seem like a stable company.

    Advice to Management

Have more hours to train tutors.

I worked at Elevate Learning part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved working with the children and meeting their families. Pick your own schedule with parents. Pay was good, got my raise to 19 from 17 an hour, but had to remind them of it, otherwise they would have paid me 17.

    Cons

Too much paperwork, they try to make it difficult for you to get paid. The wait for a paycheck is a month. It is difficult to communicate with your PC, they will reply half-answers and sometimes won't reply at all. The company does not care to hear your feedback nor do they support the tutor well. Many tutors abandon the students and parents have no clue what is going on. This is not a job you want to rely on for income!!

    Advice to Management

More support for your tutors and increased hours with a student, they do not learn enough in 11 hours.
