Let’s start by saying- average monthly pay for a Finance Manager at an automotive dealership would be about 2-3X more than at ECHD. Pay was absolutely abysmal, as well as trying to meet almost impossible numbers. My pay plan mysteriously changed when they thought I was making too much, and tried to make it seem like it was actually them raising it (they just raised the goals to nearly impossible). Non-qualifiers counted against your numbers, even if there was not a single product you could sell, causing you to lose a LOT of money. TONS of cash deals and maxed out/capped deals with zero room for back end. Completely unfair and unethical, and the owner wouldn’t budge on the issue. I struggled financially working here for the most part, when I used to make almost $200K a year in the automotive industry doing the same job. I almost went bankrupt during the winter season (no bikes sold) and had to get a second job at night. They don’t want to pay anyone. I was sexually harassed daily, used as a bargaining tool to close deals with male customers by sales managers, and completely undermined as a skilled professional because of my “look”. They wonder why they have such a high turnover. Hours were absolutely insane, zero time off, no life, made to feel guilty and threatened with job if I ever asked to take vacation. The former GM was a tyrant who the entire dealership clearly hated, but the owner turned a blind eye until it was too late and a lot of people left. Most fellow employees I knew while working at ECHD hated their jobs, and that is not an exaggeration.
