      Big name, respected company. Investment in R&D.

      Cons

      Lack of clear strategy and priorities. The past 2 years have been utter chaos with constantly changing priorities and rotating leadership. At the same time there have been multiple reorgs, with a flatter structure and fewer opportunities for advancement or even lateral job changes. It's a slowly dying organization without a clear path to growth.

      Good pay, benefits, and time off

      The IT org is constantly going through layoffs. The work is going to managed service providers in India. The whole process is clown shoes. They are letting people go that have been here for 20+ years that have so much knowledge and expect to transfer it over to workers who are extremely siloed, who might not even be around in 6 months(the retention rate for this particular MSP is abysmal). These workers are not even dedicated to 3M, they have many other projects. I’m concerned for 3M’s IT future. Walking over dollars to pick up pennies
