      Friendly but a little strange culture - Mechanical Engineer A-dec Employee Review

      Pros

      Pay is fair and retirement program is exceptional. On the surface the culture is friendly and "family". Mostly genuine, nice people and a nice place to work.

      Cons

      The niceness is forced in a strange sort of Stepford way. No one is allowed to rock the boat, every word out of your mouth must be carefully measured, you take a great risk if you disagree with anyone. The culture will stunt your growth; if that's a problem for you, join but don't stay past the vestment period.

      Support for learning and development, work-life balance, all backed by a family who owns the company and wants to see it continue to thrive in the future.

      Cons

      We're a mature player in the industry that has been in a growth and innovation mode, so at times it can feel like we've got too much going on.
