Pros
Access to large contracts that are stable and long lasting. Access to institutional knowledge of a company that has tens of thousands of employees and a long history. Generally nice people. You can find smart and motivated people if you look hard enough.
Cons
Management hyperfocused on short-term financial metrics often to the detriment of staff and even long-term company interests at times. Limited career growth opportunities. High performers are not rewarded. Seniority and years of service are valued above all else. Salaries are very low for junior and mid-level staff.
