Pros

Everyone whom I have met so far is very friendly and appears to believe in this company. Being able to assist Military Service members and their families.

Cons

I have worked for AFSC for a few weeks and so far I haven't seen anything to make me want to recommend a friend for employment with this company. Having pay cuts and NO Paid Time Off (PTO) for almost a year is ridiculous! I have worked for two different Government Contractors as an Service Contract Act (SCA) employee with FFSC and have always started accruing vacation & sick leave from day one. I feel AFSC has no idea what they are doing especially with regards to the SCA employees and the way SCA employees are being treated just doesn’t feel ethical and legal. I have never before felt so betrayed and unvalued! HR seems to want to make things better but lack the SCA knowledge and authority to make any changes. Our FFSC Management team has worked hard at improving morale in our office which is currently at an all time LOW with no improvement expected as long as AFSC has this contract. Our staff has lost their job enthusiasm all the while maintaining their professionalism. Hopefully AFSC gets their act together soon as our office family depends on it! We have already lost so much and several staff members have already departed. It feels like our FFSC family is being torn apart due to the current work environment.

Pros

This company was the new DoD contractor after 30 something years with another company and while others met AFSC with resistance, this company took excellent care of me when a totally unexpected situation came up and I had to take an extended leave of absence. They were very compassionate, transparent and supportive throughout the whole situation.

Cons

They didn't pay as much as the previous contractor, but such is the nature of DoD contracts. I was glad to have a job.
