4 months into contract - Anonymous employee AFSC Employee Review

4 months into the contract and the situation is GRIM!!! Especially in the clinical world. The centers in the area are severely understaffed and have lost most of the contract clinical staff. The impact is not only affecting staff morale but is now impacting the clients we serve. The remaining staff are feeling the stress of being understaffed. We are being told that there are few candidates applying for these positions. The starting salary is estimated to be about $10-12,000 below that of the government staff doing the same job. We are officially in crisis mode and the outlook is not promising. It's very sad sitting back and watching our workplace crumble into mass destruction. What was once a thriving organization is now a shell of what it once was. I have never seen a more dedicated group of people working so hard to keep this ship afloat despite the fact that it is now close to sinking.
