Pros

ARC's location is fantastic. Close to Metro, shopping and central to the Washington DC area. The salaries are competitive and you can develop skillsets that you may not have come to the company with......this is its most valuable asset.

Cons

You know the saying, you don't know what you have until its gone? Well who knew that it was the past CEO Mr. Collins who truly was the great pioneer and innovator which moved the company leaps and bounds into the future. The current CEO was very promising and exciting when he took the helm; however, he has turned a blind eye to the mischief and incompetence of his Leadership Team. Unfortunately, I was involuntarily separated from the company, but I do not write this review as someone who is disgruntled. I've moved on to doing something I really enjoy- so no malice in my review. I write this review to share my experience through my prism of an employee who contributed a lot and also learned a tremendous amount during my tenure at ARC. Unfortunately, the Leadership Team was allowed to create a very toxic envirnoment which destroyed the very essence of the Corporate Values that employees were encourage to live and work by. This is shameful, as the company spent a lot of money and time to incorporate them in its everyday. This makes me question the CEO/President's leadership abilities- he's a smart man, so why allow this behavior to exist? Only he can answer that question. It is a shame, as ARC, for what its worth, loses its ablility to truly attract new and talented potential employees.

Pros

A pulse is all that is needed to qualify to do this work.

Cons

Weekly policy changes were implemented without advance notice and applied retroactively to all staff rather than addressing specific individuals. Dress code memo prohibited tights for all staff in response to specific individuals, further limiting appropriate clothing options in a warehouse environment. YouTube and visual content prohibited a month into tenure, with audio limited to music only, eliminating mental stimulation (e.g. news, podcast, etc.) during repetitive, isolated work in a locked room. A water bottle used every day for a month without issue and was even complimented by one of the supervisors, suddenly became prohibited according to the same supervisor weeks later (there is no exaggeration here, unfortunately). Book tracking quota requirement was introduced despite significant daily downtime — approximately forty-five minutes each morning and after lunch, waiting to be logged in or for books to arrive yet a daily scanning quota was imposed despite these systemic delays. Management is fickle, unorganized, and lacking competence. The work environment is unpredictable, and staff are set up for failure.
