Pros
Excellent balance of practicality versus perfection Good work is appreciated & awarded Many good engineers, designers and scientists Convenient location (Eindhoven and veldhoven are small and convenient to find a house) It is possible to show initiative and do meaningful work
Cons
Working environment (office, parkings, toilets) not optimal, company keeps recruiting and as a result it is a bit cramped in some buildings Legacy rules: particularly for SW this is a pain Not a clear growth path, promotion is hard Mostly driven by HW design mentality, while many jobs are related to SW. products are too specific, limited career moves outside ASML
