Pros
ASML is a technology leader in the semiconductor industry. It develops, designs, produce, installs and maintains products that are on the edge of what is technically feasible in order to meet the very demanding roadmaps of the major chip manufactures all over the world. (you almost cannot find chip-manufacturing fabs without ASML tools inside) and their business is steadily growing over the past >25years. • Non-nonsense company with Dutch foundation • Open communication structure to always find the best technical solution • Great care about employee’s wellbeing • interesting technical job opportunities (not only within D&E, but also in manufacturing, industrialization, logistics and service) • Great career opportunities to grow within the company (worldwide) • multi-disciplinary teams, with design offices in various locations within the US, Europe, Asia
Cons
• ever changing targets/deadlines and planning. (never a dull moment, that is for sure) • salary is not the highest in the market, but still very competitive • open communication structure. It is expected that you speak up and discuss and defend your ideas to your superiors and not just execute whatever your boss tells you. • In San Jose senior management is still very old fashioned and is making the transition to become a real ASML-company. I understand it takes time, but it goes (too) slow
