Pros

- Truly the smartest people I have ever met - Great opportunities to drive your career, and HR is flexible with allowing you to choose your assignments - Great name to have on your resume, and the exit opportunities (if you decide to move into industry) are amazing. I am constantly contacted by recruiters. - Learn how to manage a team, work with offshore resources, build client relationships, etc. - AWESOME benefits! 5 weeks PTO, 9 paid holidays, work-from-home arrangements are possible, keep all your loyalty points (airlines, amex, and hotel points), medical, dental, vision are all great plans, 401k is 50% match up to 6% of your salary, and company makes additional contributions to your 401k via profit sharing. Reviews are done in May. You are notified of promotion decisions in August. Promotions and raises are effective in September. Bonuses are given out in November.

Cons

- Competitive; it's sink or swim, and sometimes politics can float you lower in the ratings, so the year end rating won't always be representative of the work you actually did. - You *get* to travel and you *have* to travel (both a pro and a con depending on who you ask.) - Long hours. - Mentorship opportunities are hit-or-miss depending on your project.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
