Pros
- Good work-life balance; my client doesn't require work on weekends without planning well in advance. - Co-workers with diverse backgrounds. - For contractors with Accenture Flex, we get higher hourly base pay in lieu of bonuses.
Cons
- If you are on contract with Accenture Flex, there simply are no promotions, but you can get a raise if your work performance is adequate. - If your people lead is largely absent like mine is, good luck getting any needs taken care of! - In my experience, Accenture leadership cares more about appearances than about making things right. If someone on the Accenture side is underperforming, they would rather you make up BS to say in front of the client than call out the underperformer's poor work. If you call out the poor work you will be treated with aggression no matter how politely you say it. - Raises are not what they will tell you verbally; for example, they might say "you're getting a 5% raise" but you will actually get 4.75%, and they might say "it'll start next paycheck" but it won't arrive till 4 paychecks later and they won't pay you any back pay for those 3 missed paychecks.
