      Pros

      Challenging career that will teach you the ropes of small business. Residuals are great and management is always there to help.

      Cons

      Too many agents in the same area. Not enough time is taken to weed out potentially horrible agents and they can snake their way in.

      Pros

      Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

      Cons

      No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
