Pros
The diversity of Alcon is still it's strong suit.
Cons
The business strategy of this company. They truly do farm temporary employees like cattle. Every single department is leased out to contract agencies and those positions are negotiated for you by another contract agency. So basically today Alcon primarily pays other companies to do its work and pays those companies employees 1/4 to 1/5th of what they should be paid. Alcon is not Alcon, it's Kelly/Yoh/Manpower/Aerotek/and 10 others combined. This is no different than offshoring employment to a third world country. No different and is absolutely disgusting. The Novartis Business Unit though is to blame. Alcon used to be a GREAT company, but now it's just all about volume and cheap labor at its core. They even temp out their HR services.
