Pros
Great benefits and amenities on campus (i.e. cafe, gym, car detail service, CU, etc.) Can progress fairly quickly once you're aligned with the right people
Cons
Takes a lot of energy and effort to get things done with all of the bureaucracy. Political alignments are a necessary evil
