Pros
Alion is like dozens of little companies scattered across the US, but most have no idea what the others are doing. There are some interesting projects and people that I was associated with in the DC area which was the best part of the job.
Cons
Management in general is poor. Top level management should have been fired years ago as they have drowned the company in massive debt while earning annual $1M+ bonuses. Company shrunk in size population-wise by at least 20% as people jumped ship. Was an employee owned company, then they wanted to go IPO, then some venture capital firm gobbled them up. I expect much blood-letting at the top in the coming year.
