Pros

nothing i can think of except how much ever amazon stocks you canget

Cons

One of the worst companies ever . This company ( if you can call it ) is full of politics and manipulation. Gets re-orged every 3 months . seems like you are in the musical chair untill the music stops and you are treated like cr@$. if you can survive the politics and can su$% up to it , up to lab126. HR non-existant . Lots of favoritism of people who can s#$% up. Managers non-technical and just plain political and manipulative . people are here just to get the amazon stocks and leave, however i know many people who were trapped on sign on bonus ( to block u ) and left lab in few months , even at the cost of paying back the sign on bonus. No growth at all. frugality at its best. eben many senior management leaving. there products never did great and amazon can no longer sustain loss being non-profitable .

Pros

Strong engineering talent and technically capable peers. Historically offered opportunities to work on large-scale consumer devices with real production impact. Ownership culture at the team level — engineers are often trusted to drive complex cross-layer initiatives. Good exposure to platform systems, device-to-cloud integration, and large fleet operations.

Cons

Over the past few years, frequent leadership changes and repeated organizational reorgs created uncertainty in long-term technical direction. Compared to earlier years, there are fewer net-new greenfield initiatives, with more focus on sustaining and maintaining legacy programs. Shifting priorities and evolving reporting structures can make roadmap continuity and long-term architectural planning more challenging.
