Pros
he team you work with is amazing, the people around you are smart and caring. Opportunities to learn from a great company and grow your own skills as well as position yourself to move upward with a lot of opportunities to advance your career, or grow personally. It helped me build confidence in speaking as well as work on my public speaking ability. It helps you understand customer interaction, if you will be in the Tech space, start here, you learn a lot and they train you for free. There are/were many things that are great about Apple Retail. It's a great 1st time job and you'll make some of your best and greatest friends there. Health benefits can be hit or miss, but over all benefit package isn't so bad.
Cons
Don't get stuck working in retail for 10 years or more, unless you are happy with what you do and content with the space you're in. Was a great job in 2017, and after pandemic or so, the care for the customers that we were told to have was de-prioritized and focus shifted from being supportive and customer focused to ... something else. Work schedule did not allow for a good work-life balance, never got requested days off, even with 4 weeks advance notice. The team you work with is amazing, the people around you are smart and caring. If you can keep your head down and plow through your work keeping your emotional and mental healthy aside, it could be a great fit for you. Try to work up to corporate and not store front/retail/Genius Bar if you can. Diversity is concentrated in the retail space, as you move up in ranks such as store/district managers/regional managers and higher up, it certainly is not focusing on diversity, it appears to be what you think it would be.
