Pros
Avanade is a fantastic place to work for anyone who want to be at the pinnacle of technology. You will work with very good to great clients and work (for the most part) with the leading edge of Microsoft technologies. This is also one of the smartest group of people I have ever worked with. If you like to travel or want to build up frequent flier miles you can get more than you will ever use.
Cons
Work life balance is simply awful. You are on the road 100% for years at a time. If you are single, fresh out of school or an empty nester, then this can be ok for a bit, but it is not sustainable for most folks for a very long time. Consulting is very sensative to economic ups and downs. When times are good, there is plenty of perks and communications from management, but when things go pear shaped. the communication goes down hill, both in quantity and quality.
