Pros

Strong technologists with heavy Microsoft enterprise experience. Many strong customers, and the opportunity to reach into Fortune ranked corporations through their extended partnerships with Accenture and Microsoft. On-the-ground experiences for consultants. You will have the opportunity to represent Avanade at a customer site; you will not be in the background or be shielded. You will interact with the customer and your opinions will be valued.

Cons

Standard consulting cons apply here. It's difficult to "choose" your project and that can interfere/conflict with what your personal/professional goals are. The promotion process is hazy. You need to fit the organizational mold in order to move up. Accenture projects will more-than-likely dominate your docket. A common gripe among Avanade resources is that Accenture treats Avanade resources very poorly on projects. Many conflicting goals and values between the two organizations, and there's little recourse for Avanade resources to meaningfully report conflicts between Avanade & Accenture (and produce amicable results).

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
