Pros

Avanade is growing quickly. The company has a good market niche and is building an identity separate from our parents (Accenture & Microsoft). This rapid growth affords terrific learning opportunities and the opportunity to expand your resume. We have a few inspirational leaders that have come onboard in the last couple of years who really care if you are learning new things and about your development. You are heard and the company wants to hear your opinion and input.

Cons

Senior management has no diversity, just a bunch of old white guys. This is not a woman or minority friendly company and has a highly developed political environment. Avanade is the biggest little company you have ever seen. This place is legend for its politics and how cut throat it is. Women are expects to work harder, deliver more, do it faster and are paid a significantly less than men with lesser skills, knowledge and responsibility. Minorities are past over for promotion and opportunities. Opinions are sought but not weighted equal to the men or to those of the old boys club.

Pros

The projects are really large so you'll get great experience. The benefits are good. The people are, for the most part, really nice at the lower level.

Cons

Always restructuring. You don't actually work for Avanade you work for Accenture under the name of Avanade. Accenture is always trying to absorb or downsize Avanade and even the execs don't have real power there. Plus all work and decisions are also controlled by Microsoft, so if they're doing extremely well then Avanade does and then Accenture fights for their share of the money in some shady way.
