Pros

Office is in the center of city International environement

Cons

Administrative part is too slow and makes too many mistakes. They forgot to book me the flat we agreed on for my relocation, they made tax errors on my payslip, comunicated the wrong address to a state institution and they forgot to pay me my last salary, which they corrected but only three weeks later. Had to borrow money in order to pay my rent. Despite the fact that I told them, they didn't care too much about the urgency of the matter neither. The managers do not have managment skills and always act to defend their own interests instead of the ones of the team. Never happened to me before. They also adopt the micromanaging model of work. You have to report to them your movements and actions everyday. There are too many meetings that last too long. Which in consequence doesn't leave too much time to work, That is why there are many people in the team, Otherwise the work could be perfectly done with less people. Within the team, there is not really a structure or a good organisation. It is rather chaotic. The job position is also not the one described where you have to analyse and bring on the table your ideas. It is rather robotic, monotonous and you find yourself very fast thrown into doing something that is not what you have been trained to do nor what you have been described during the hiring process.

Dear former colleague, Thank you very much for your feedback, even if it surprised us a bit in some places, but also made us sad. First of all, we would like to apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced regarding various administrative issues. Mistakes do happen, but should of course be avoided! Therefore, we are very affected by your story, but would also like to assure you that this is not a regularity with us at the Hub! Sadly, you haven't had a good experience with your manager. Our managers are prepared for their position in the best possible way – through regular trainings, but also through our internal talent journey. Here you can decide in advance for yourself whether you are interested in this development step or not. In addition, we distinguish between professional leadership and people management, so that managers can concentrate on their important topics. Feedback is an important part of our corporate culture. That is why we promote a continuous exchange between employees and their managers, in which the cooperation and the own well-being can be reflected on together on a regular basis. We are sorry that you probably could not benefit from these conversations. We regret that you are no longer part of the #TeamBASF! We wish you all the best for the future. Kind regards, Mareike G. – Local HR Berlin #TeamBASF

Pros

Great benefits, hybrid & remote roles, great colleagues to work with. Great vacation /time off. Helpful colleagues

Cons

Reorganizations (roughly 3 years), IT roles dwindling in North America(moving to India), teams can get very silo-ed, “not my role” = not helping you (when you are looking for answers/assistance), currently seeing a lot of movement out of New Jersey (roles moving to other parts of the country), some organizational charts can be confusing, huge organization(can be difficult at times pinpointing the exact team you may need to work with)
